  • Are you able to receive emails but not send?

    Are you able to receive emails but not send?


    If you can receive mail but aren't able to send this means one thing.....

    There are number of things causing this. Unless you've received an announcement from us that mail isn't working properly at the time you're having difficulty.

    Chances are it is some internet provider is blocking you from using anyone's incoming mail servers but their own. Many major ISP's are blocking incoming emails.

    The reason they do this is to prevent you from using their internet connection for spamming purposes.

    You will still be able to send emails, but only by using your ISP'S outgoing mail server.
    Every ISP's outgoing mail address is different, but for the most part they will be mail.yourispname.com
    For example, if you had hosting with AOL.com, their outgoing mail server would look like this: mail.aol.com.

    If mail.yourisp.com does not work and you are still unable to send emails, you will need to call your internet service provider to find out what their outgoing mail server is.

  • Are you able to send emails but not receive?

    Are you able to send emails but not receive?


    Either your E-Mail address setting is wrong, or your domain is out of disk space. You will need to increase the amount of disk space to receive mail again.

    Does it say "please enter your username and password for the following server" and you are sure you're using the correct information?

    Most of our servers have a 60 checks per hour limit. If you hit this limit in any hour you'll be locked out for the rest of the hour. you will need to click: Tools > Options > General > and disable where it says "check for new messages every xx minutes".

    If you do not want to disable it just set it to check less often. keep in mind the more computers you have auto checking or checking the mail the quicker you will hit this limit.

    There are easy ways to go about backing up your MySQL databases.

    Backup using phpMyAdmin(DB WebAdmin). To do this, follow these steps.

    1. Login to your Plesk control panel.
      (e.g. https://yourdomain.com:8443)
    2. Choose and click your domain name.
    3. Click the Databases icon.
    4. Choose and click your database to want to backup.
    5. Click the DB WebAdmin Icon.
    6. On the pop-up window, you will see the screen of phpMyAdmin.
    7. Click the database name on left side.
    8. Click the hyperlink of Export Tab.
    9. Click the Select ALL link shown in gray. The check Save as file and click GO.
    10. You will be asked to save the .sql file to the hard drive. Click Save.
    11. Choose the location to save to and click Save. Your database has now been exported.
    12. Please be patient, the process may take a few minutes.

    如接獲顧客購買“電子禮券”的訂單,務必確認有關的付款交易已完成,方可批核顧客的“電子禮券”。

    “電子禮券”與“優惠禮券”的差別:
    • 電子禮券
      跟現金相同,不含任何使用限制,顧客可付款自購,或由管理員簽發

    • 優惠禮券
      可設定若干行使限制,並只能透過管理員簽發

    進入“顧客禮券批核”:
    1. 點擊主選單的“電子禮券/優惠禮券”

    2. 點擊左選單的“顧客禮券批核”

    每項“顧客禮券”包含的資料:
    • 購買客戶
      購買電子禮券的顧客姓名

    • 購買金額
      購買電子禮券的面值(銷售金額)

    • 訂單編號
      相關的訂單編號

    • 購買日期
      相關的訂單的購買日期

    確認“顧客禮券”的程序:
    1. 點擊欲檢視“待批核名單”旁的“確認禮券”

    2. 如訂購的付款方式屬“線上付款”,例如信用咭、PAYPAL(貝寶),請到達相關閘道並檢查交易是否已完成,其他付款方式則亦請檢查有否收妥款項

    3. 如付款証實無誤後,點擊“確認”按鈕,或按“返回”放棄確認

    4. 確認完成後,系統將把相關價值的電子禮券存進顧客的“電子禮券帳戶”內,並同時寄出通知郵件給對方

    5. 此時顧客已可隨時使用禮券的價值訂購產品及結帳,或將“電子禮券”轉寄給親友

    注意事項:
    • 您的線上商店必需有銷售電子禮券,方會產生這篇所述的待批核顧客禮券

    • 若需設定產品屬可供購買的“電子禮券”,只需在型號輸入以大寫英文“GIFT”為首,例如“GIFT100”,而禮券的售價便是面值,請參考“產品管理”

    • 禮券一經確認,將直接存進顧客的“電子禮券帳戶”內,無法以其他途徑改變面值或刪除

    • 顧客付款購買的電子禮券,不需通過“啟用編號”使用

    • 顧客可於同一項訂單內,包含電子禮券及其他產品一同結帳

    • 顧客可重複購買電子禮券,相關的面值將疊加於原本面值

    • “電子禮券”可視為現金,顧客持有的面值適用於所有產品而無任何限制,若顧客持有足夠的禮券面值,結帳時可全數替代應繳金額,甚至適用的手續費

    • 若顧客於結帳後仍有禮券餘值,可於下次購物時繼續使用

    • 顧客可將持有的禮券面值自用,或轉寄全部、部份面值給親友當現金使用(轉寄後的收禮者仍需按照正常程序登記成為會員及結帳)

    • 顧客持有的“電子禮券”只適用於您的“線上商店”

    • 由於沒有途徑修改顧客持有的“電子禮券”資料,所以在您的商店產品內,例如銷售的電子禮券,應註明“不可折回現金”

    當您的產品屬於即將發售,您可預先把產品增加到店面,並以“預訂產品”型式接受顧客的訂購或查詢。

    所有產品若有特別注明“開售日期”的話,均被系統視為“預訂產品”的,而上店面的產品目錄,可根據設定顯示這些“產品預訂”。

    當該產品被訂購時,店面亦會提示顧客,顧客若接納先預訂後取貨則便可如常繼續完成訂單。

    請您在收到這些預訂產品的訂購單時關注及記錄,以便在產品發售時不會遺漏這些先前的訂單令顧客抱怨。

    每項產品包含的資料:
    • 開售日期 - 每項產品的開售日期,若留空則產品被視為正常發售

    新增產品:
    1. 點擊主選單的“分類目錄/產品管理”

    2. 點擊左選單的“預訂產品”

    3. 點擊主螢幕的“增加”按鈕

    4. 選擇產品的目錄

    5. 選擇相關產品

    6. 點擊主螢幕的下方的“增加”按鈕

    7. 點擊“日曆”按鈕選擇“開售日期”

    8. 完成後按“儲存”或“更新”,或按“返回”放棄並返回列表

    針對預訂產品的動作:
    • 新增產品
      從已建立的產品裏挑選一項成為預訂產品

    • 編輯
      修改已經增加的預訂產品資料

    • 刪除
      將該預訂產品資料刪除,若產品預訂中,將會轉回正常發售,此刪除動作只針對預訂資料,不會把原有產品刪除

    注意事項:
    • 系統暫未有特設針對此類訂單的管理,請確保顧客訂購的預訂產品已被關注記錄

    • 若產品到達開售日期,產品將以正常模式發售,不再顯示預訂訊息

    • 您亦可使用一般的“產品管理”修改“開售日期”

    “商品特性”能允許您在某一項產品上,預先設定可供顧客在訂購時選擇更合適的產品細節,而且有效減少收到訂單後的種種跟進工作。

    例如您正在售賣的西褲,應該具備不同的“顏色”、“腰圍”、“褲長”等,以供顧客選購,而透過“商品特性”的預先設定,您便可自定產品選擇上的各種“選項名稱”和“選項值”。

    在您的‘網上商店’銷售的產品,都可以個別地套用合適的“商品特性”以解決同款產品但具備多樣化的訂購選擇,而且每種特性選擇可設定獨特的“差價”。

    例如某一衣服產品的正常售價是每件一百圓,若顧客選擇“大碼”則需多付十圓,意味這件“大碼衣服”的每件售價將會是一百一十圓。

    要在產品中增加“商品特性”,必需預先完成上一節指南介紹的“商品特性設定”。

    進入“商品特性管理”:
    1. 點擊主選單的“分類目錄/產品管理”

    2. 點擊左選單的“商品特性管理”

    3. 或 在“產品管理”中點擊針對產品的“特性選擇”動作

    新增“商品特性”產品:
    1. 點擊主選單的“分類目錄/產品管理”

    2. 點擊左選單的“商品特性管理”

    3. 點擊主螢幕的“增加”按鈕

    4. 選擇產品的目錄

    5. 選擇相關產品

    6. 點擊主螢幕的下方的“編輯”按鈕

    • 選項的差價
      如該項特性具有“差價”,請輸入差價的數值,例如“10”,如沒有差價請留空

    • 排序
      針對特性在下拉選單的先後排序,如沒有刻意設定,系統將以“商品特性”名稱的筆劃來自動排列

    針對“商品特性”的動作:
    • 新增產品
      從已建立的產品裏挑選一項並套用商品特性

    • 編輯
      修改已經套用商品特性的產品資料

    • 刪除
      將該產品的商品特性刪除,此刪除動作只針對商品特性資料,不會把原有產品刪除

    注意事項:
    • 如有為產品的商品特性“設定差價”,則差價的貨幣是以您商店的“預設貨幣”為基礎

    • 若產品套用了商品特性,顧客應在放進“購物車”前選擇,而完成訂購後的訂單,雙方的訂購產品資料都會特別地註明所選的商品特性

    • 若產品套用了商品特性,在顧客選擇了並完成訂購程序後,有關產品的商品特性無法再修改

    • 產品的特性差價,會根據訂購數量反影在訂單總計裏,並連同其他應收款項一併計算

    1. Log in to the GoDaddy Account Manager. http://www.godaddy.com
    2. Select Manage Domains from the Domain Names dropdown menu or the Manage Your Account list.
    3. Select the domain name you wish to modify using the checkboxes and then click Set Nameservers Icon.
    4. Select Custom nameservers (I host my domains elsewhere.).
    5. Enter our name server information to Nameserver 1 and Nameserver2 from below.

    When you start using your new hosting account or E-Store with us, it may be quite inconvenient to leave your domain name to be managed by your old host. If you do that you will have to communicate with two different organizations: one will be providing the hosting services or E-Store for your website and the other will be providing domain registration services for your website.

    In order to move your existing domain and manage it together with your "Focus Network Company" hosting account with you just need to order the "Domain Transfer Service".

    Requirements for successful domain name transfer

    • The domain name to be transferred is not in 'Locked' Status.
    • The customer has access to the administrative contact email for the domain.
    • The customer can provide "Focus Network Company" with the domain EPP key code, applying to domains for which there is such a code.
    • There are more than 15 days till the domain name expiration date.
    • The domain name was registered for the first time more than 60 day ago.
    • The domain name has one of the following extensions: .com .net .org .us .biz .info .name.

    33 Million Domains Registered in 2007


    Report released by VeriSign, shows that over 33 Million domain names were registered in 2007, bringing the total up to 153million domains.

    Below is a summary of the report:

    In the last quarter of 2007, the base of domain name registrations grew 27 percent over the fourth quarter of 2006 and five percent over the third quarter of 2007… The total base of Country Code Top Level Domain Names (ccTLDs) was 58 million, a 33 percent increase year over year and a six percent increase quarter over quarter. Across all of the gTLDs and ccTLDs, .com has the highest base followed by .de (Germany), .net and .cn (China). The fifth spot is shared by .uk (United Kingdom) and .org. with approximately the same size base of domain name registrations.

    This release also states that the adoption of IPv6 has been relatively slow in the United States as compared to Asia and Europe. More than 100 domain name registries (i.e. top-level domain managers) support IPv6 for name servers and DNS queries including VeriSign who has supported IPv6 for .com and .net since 2002. The root name servers were enabled for IPv6 in February 2008 with the inclusion of IPv6 addresses for six of the thirteen root servers, including the A and J root servers operated by VeriSign.

    Internet Protocol (IP) is a unique address that certain electronic devices use in order to identify and communicate with each other on a computer network utilizing the Internet Protocol standard (IP)—in simpler terms, a computer address. Any participating network device—including routers, computers, time-servers, printers, Internet fax machines, and some telephones—can have their own unique address.

    An IP address can also be thought of as the equivalent of a street address or a phone number (compare: VoIP (voice over (the) internet protocol)) for a computer or other network device on the Internet. Just as each street address and phone number uniquely identifies a building or telephone, an IP address can uniquely identify a specific computer or other network device on a network.

    IP addresses can appear to be shared by multiple client devices either because they are part of a shared hosting web server environment or because a proxy server (e.g., an ISP or anonymizer service) acts as an intermediary agent on behalf of its customers, in which case the real originating IP addresses might be hidden from the server receiving a request. The analogy to telephone systems would be the use of predial numbers (proxy) and extensions (shared).

    IP addresses are managed and created by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). The IANA generally allocates super-blocks to Regional Internet Registries, who in turn allocate smaller blocks to Internet service providers and enterprises.

    The BMP (bit mapped) format is used internally in the Microsoft Windows operating system to handle graphics images. These files are typically not compressed resulting in large files.
